  • Mount Olive College was founded in 1951 and sponsored by the Convention of Original Free Will Baptists with a mission to serve deserving students in Eastern North Carolina.
  • The College has the following locations in eastern North Carolina:
    • Mount Olive College at Goldsboro opened in 1975 at SJAFB.
    • Mount Olive College at New Bern opened in 1993.
    • Mount Olive College at Wilmington opened in 1995. In 2008 the Wilmington location expanded and relocated.
    • Mount Olive College at Research Triangle Park opened in 1997.
    • Mount Olive College at Washington opened in 2005.
    • Mount Olive College at Jacksonville opened in 2009.
  • 95 % of Mount Olive College students come from Eastern North Carolina.
  • The College serves students from 69 of the 100 counties in North Carolina.
  • The College serves students from 31 states outside of North Carolina.
  • The College serves students from 7 foreign countries.
  • 25.1% of traditional students at the College have annual family incomes below $30,000.
